Governance Committee

The purpose of the Governance Committee is to ensure the proper function of the Network and Foundation including maintaining the orgs registrations with the state of Virginia, mandatory state and federal non-profit filings as well as international review and proposed amendments to internal documents like the bylaw, policies and procedures. 

The committee meets about once monthly and volunteers contribute approximately 2-3 hours per month.

Accomplishments

The Committee has recently completed a full review of the organization bylaws and has made suggested amendments which will be voted on by the incoming Board.

Goals/Projects

Going forward, the Committee will be working on the orgs charitable solicitation registrations in various states as well as continuing its review of the internal governance documents.
