On May 7, 2021, MSJDN celebrates Military Spouse Appreciation day, a day to celebrate military spouses and all they do for our country.

Military Spouse Appreciation Day was first recognized by President Ronald Reagan in 1984 and has routinely been celebrated the Friday before Mother’s Day. At MSJDN, we know all too well the sacrifices military spouses make in service to their country. They are the heroes behind the scenes, who keep things going while their spouses and loved ones are away protecting our country. Through their strength and sacrifice, they are the backbone of their communities, and we thank them for their service!

This sacrifice often means their putting careers on hold in support of their spouses’ career Military spouses, especially those in the legal profession, are often faced with additional challenges when it comes to finding and sustaining long-term employment. Frequent moves oftentimes mean having to factor in what states you can actually practice law in, having to rebuild your network every three years, or not having built enough experience at your current position for a smooth transition somewhere in your next duty station.

MSJDN is here to help! Its members range from brand new military spouses just beginning their legal careers, to top level executives who have done and seen it all. This Military Spouse Appreciation Day, take the step to join a community of like-minded professionals who are all working to support career-minded military spouses and their families. You will have access to a members- only Facebook Group, support network, and much, much more!

Happy Military Spouse Appreciation Day to all our military spouses!
