On October 24, 2025, legal professionals and future leaders gathered in Washington, D.C. and online for the MSJDN Foundation’s capstone professional development conference, Making the Right Moves. This year’s event highlighted what makes our network so powerful: a shared commitment to advancing military spouse careers and strengthening the legal profession through diverse experience, resilience, and service.

From insightful panels to practical skill-building sessions, attendees gained tools to navigate the unique challenges of balancing a legal career and a military lifestyle. Speakers – many of them MSJDN members and leaders themselves – shared candid stories and advice about navigating state licensing, maintaining career momentum, and thriving in the legal field. Their expertise and authenticity reminded everyone that military spouses don’t just adapt to change – they drive it.

Most importantly, Making the Right Moves offered space to connect. Members left feeling inspired, energized, and supported by a community that understands their journey.
