Amanda Downs Frizzelle

Amanda has been a member of MSJDN since its inception in 2011. A 2005 graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, she most recently served as a trial attorney with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She has handled trial and appellate matters in civil and criminal cases in both state and federal courts. Previously, she worked as a public defender for the State of Maryland, a trial attorney for the Educational Opportunities Section of the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice, a Veterans Court Attorney for Texas Legal Services Center, and as the Trial Team Chief for the Mental Health Unit of the County Attorney’s Office in El Paso County, Texas. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in leadership studies. Her spouse is an active duty Army Colonel who serves at SHAPE, the NATO military headquarters. They live in Belgium with their three children.
