Brittany Sims Nwankwoala has been a member of MSJDN since 2016. She is licensed in Washington D.C. and currently serves as the staff attorney for the D.C. Bar Communities office (formerly called Sections) where she handles policy, compliance, and governance. Prior to attending law school, she worked in the nonprofit sector and completed a year of service with AmeriCorps. In addition to her JD from the University of Tennessee College of Law, Brittany also holds a Masters in Public Administration with a graduate certificate in Nonprofit Management from Tennessee State University and a BA in English from Hampton University. Brittany is married to an active duty Army National Guard officer with whom she shares two sons. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, and travelling.
