MSJDN broadcast its first-ever webinar on January 26th to rave reviews. Almost 30 attendees from across the country tuned in for an hour-long session discussing small business formation. Presenter and military spouse attorney Donna Huneycutt provided a thorough review of options for business forms, along with useful insight from her own experiences as an attorney and small business owner. “We are thrilled at the success of our first webinar and excited to present more educational opportunities for our membership throughout the year,” said MSJDN President Rachel Winkler.
Donna is a MSJDN member and a founder of In Gear Career, a non-profit focused on supporting career-minded military spouses. She is also co-owner and general counsel at Wittenberg Weiner Consulting, a woman owned consulting firm focused on the management and operational needs of government agencies. She holds a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law. Prior to joining Wittenberg Weiner, Donna practiced corporate law in New York and business immigration law in Boston. Her wealth of experience as a practicing attorney and small business founder provided attendees with meaningful advice, while her understanding of the military lifestyle allowed her to field questions relating to unique situations faced by military families. “Donna Hunneycutt was a very knowledgeable speaker who shared her expertise with clarity and concision, and was able to address the issues and challenges faced by constantly relocating milspouse attorneys like myself,” said Elle Jauffret, who tuned in from Southern California.
For those who were unable to join the live broadcast of the webinar, it is available online for seven days following the broadcast through Spreecast.
